The Hydro One Ombudsman has heard loud and clear that people in rural parts of Belleville and customers across the province, are infuriated about their service.
Fiona Crean spoke to a group of close to 100 citizens at the Gerry Masterson Community Centre last night and listened to their concerns as well.
Crean tells Quinte News her province-wide tour is aimed at showing consumers they have a voice when they’re unhappy.
Problems with smart meters, customer service, delivery charges and more were all common themes from the numerous speakers who took the microphone.
Crean says if you have a complaint, you should make it to the company first, as her office only gets involved if the issue isn’t dealt with.
She also noted that if you think your hydro bill is too high and you’re disputing it, you should pay something at least, so they don’t cut off your service.
The session was hosted by MPP Todd Smith and Belleville Councillor Paul Carr.
