Quinte Health Care staff continues to look at improving the patient experience.
At Tuesday night’s board meeting, trustees were updated on their latest gathering, which not only focused on the patients, but also the working life of staff.
50 front line staff, physicians and managers across all departments, focused on ways to improve and save time.
Room prep, patient discharges, the intensive care and the emergency unit and infections were all covered.
CEO Mary Clare Egberts says the topic of patients and bed transfers came up and it was decided that a bed traffic controller would be hired.
The meetings were part of a two-year strategy, aimed at improving health care at the four hospitals.
