There is a plan underway to expand a program, Elevate Plus, aimed at getting the unemployed in the Quinte Region back to work.
Spokesman Chuck O’Malley told the Quinte Economic Development Commission recently that an application has been made to the provincial government to assist with the program.
O’Malley says the program, supported by Loyalist College and QEDC, targets unemployed people eighteen years or older who want to work in the manufacturing sector.
