A valiant 52 save performance from goaltender Brandon Soucy was not enough for the Campbellford Rebels Saturday night, as they fell 6-4 to the Amherstview Jets.
Veteran forward Jeremiah Doherty led the way offensively with a goal and an assist.
Matthew Tarbutt, Austin Vallier and Kurtis Giles had the other Rebels goals.
Campbellford was outshot 58-21 in the contest.
Tonight, Campbellford will travel to Napanee to take on the Raiders in their home opener.
