A hydro line exploded in Brighton Thursday afternoon after a tree fell on it.
Fire Chief Lloyd Hutchinson said crews were called to 300 Alexander Road just after 3 p.m. where the homeowner had been trimming trees and ‘one fell the wrong way’ onto the line.
The tree caught fire and a small grass fire followed.
Power was knocked out to about a dozen homes on the road.
Hydro One is on scene and estimates power to be restored before 5 p.m.
No one was injured.
