424 Squadron search and rescue personnel from 8 Wing Trenton were involved in a search for a downed float plane near Sudbury last night (Wednesday).
A Hercules aircraft and a Griffon helicopter from the base searched the waters of Fairbank Lake where the plane had crashed into 150 feet of water.
Two people were on board the plane, with one being rescued by boaters on the lake. The male pilot is still missing.
Police and fire continue to search the lake. The herc and chopper have returned to base.
