It was an exciting day for a group of deserving kids from the Quinte Region on Thursday afternoon.
31 kids, selected through the Quinte Children’s Foundation, got brand new bikes courtesy of Canadian Tire’s Jumpstart Program.
Jumpstart Regional Manager Eric Cartlidge says it’s always an exciting day and the Belleville Police are even on board this year.
He adds, giving out bikes is just part of the work that Jumpstart does across Canada.
Also Thursday, about 140 riders from the Police Foundation Ride to Remember made a stop at the event, as they ride from Aylmer to Ottawa, raising money for the families of fallen officers.
