The former coach of a Belleville minor hockey team, found guilty of defrauding the organization of over $7,000, will be spending some time behind bars.
31 year-old Martin More was sentenced to 90 days in custody minus 44 days credit for time served, along with two years probation, a number of conditions and must repay the organization as well.
During his sentencing hearing Thursday, it was noted that More had already repaid about $5,000 of the money in question, so he’s been given 22 months to pay the remaining $1,900.
Among his conditions, he’ll have to attend counseling for family and gambling issues and will be banned from being at the Quinte Sports and Wellness Centre, without a signed letter from his probation officer.
More is still facing other fraud-related charges, for separate incidents dating back to 2009.
