Stirling-Rawdon council has selected 3 new members for its library board.
In the past year, there have been two resignations, with another public member resigning to move
to another location.
There had been complaints about council members wanting to cut the library’s budget however the
budget has not been cut and neither has staff.
15 people applied for positions on the library board. Selected were Donald Burr, Mano McNabb, and Shari Elson-O’Garr.
The other members are Pat Anderson and Miranda deJong along with councillors Dean Graaf and Bob Mullin.
Much needed renovations to the municipal offices in Stirling-Rawdon will begin soon.
Meanwhile, Stirling-Rawdon council has accepted the low tender from Belleville’s Knudsen Construction Limited
for the work.
The tender came in at $151,000 plus HST.
The renovations will open up more meeting space and more office space for municipal staff at
their location beside the police and fire departments.
