The Mayor of Trent Hills will receive a surgery he says will save his life.
Hector Macmillan said OHIP was not going to fund a surgery, which he says is saving lives around the world.
He originally was going to have treatment for pancreatic cancer in Kentucky, however the cost was over $300,000.
Through all the turmoil, Macmillan says he found a calling.
Macmillan tells Quinte News that things need to change in this province.
Macmillan tells Quinte News he will now travel to Germany to have it done, at about a quarter the cost.
