There is more good news regarding Trenton Memorial Hospital.
A provincial summary report showing emergency room wait times lists Trenton Memorial as the most improved hospital in the “medium volume” category.
A “medium volume” emergency department is one with between 30,000 and 50,000 visits a year.
The report, from July of this year, shows it took an average of 5.1 hours from a patient’s registration to either being admitted or treated and released, down from 5.5 hours previously.
The average time it took from registration to actually seeing a doctor at TMH was 2.8 hours, a fast time by emergency room standards.
