Canadian alternative rock icons Sloan are set to hit the stage in the County on Saturday for the Sandbanks Music Festival.
The one day event promises to be a great time for all, bringing live music, food and art together on the beach. There are even free kids’ programs.
The festival is presented by Dave Ullrich’s company Zunior.com – a Canadian online independent record label and music store.
Ullrich beamed about the bond between himself and Sloan that developed during his time as a drummer for the Inbreds – a popular Kingston alternative rock band in the 90s.
More talented acts include Limblifter, Snowblink, The Peter Elkas Band, Jim Bryson, Taylor Knox and Jérémie Albino.
Tickets for the September 17 event are $30 and can be purchased in advance by clicking here.
Funds raised go to support The Friends of Sandbanks – the volunteer group that helps with the maintenance, enhancement and protection of the park.
It all gets started at 1 p.m. and runs until 8:30 p.m. Fans can watch the first two bands for free. Sloan takes the stage at 7 p.m.
