It’s only two games into the new OJHL season but the Trenton Golden Hawks have served notice they will be a force to contend with again this season.
Newcomer Ture Linden scored twice to lead Trenton to a 7-0 rout of the visiting Lindsay Muskies. The G-Hawks scored two on the power play, two on the penalty kill with Gary Dhaliwal adding one on a penalty shot.
Nick Boddy, Lucas Brown, Josh Allan and Ben Scheel also scored. Chris Janzen faced 16 shots for the shutout.
Trenton is 2-0. They host Orangeville tomorrow night.
As if scoring 18 goals in their first two games isn’t enough, the Golden Hawks have added more punch to the lineup with the addition of 20 year forward Jeremy Pullara.
He was acquired from the Toronto Patriots. Pullara scored 27 goals with 17 assits in 53 games last season.
