Provincial Police say one person is dead following a major crash early this morning on 401, east of Kingston.
The accident happened before 6:00 a.m., when a transport truck smashed into a stationary safety vehicle near Reynolds Road in Gananoque.
Investigators aren’t saying yet which vehicle the victim was in, or releasing an identity.
The westbound lanes are still closed near Reynolds Road in Gananoque, and have been closed since the time of the crash.
According to the OPP East Region Twitter account, there’s no estimated re-opening time
