It was a star-studded affair on Saturday as Duvanco Homes Inc. cut the ribbon on Phase 2 of the Settler’s Ridge development in Belleville’s Thurlow ward with Mike Holmes of ‘Holmes on Homes’ making a special guest appearance.
Holmes launched the Holmes Approved Homes program in 2011 to implement his mandate in new home construction, giving home buyers the opportunity to purchase a home built by his standards.
The host and creator of the popular hit TV series ‘Holmes Makes It Right’ told a large crowd of fans, potential home buyers and political dignitaries gathered outside the model home located at 62 Hampton Ridge that they chose Duvanco to be the exclusive builder of Holmes Approved Homes in the Bay of Quinte region because the developer is committed to building high quality, durable homes that look great and are affordable too.
“We are very proud to be chosen by Mike Holmes as the exclusive builder of Holmes Approved Homes in Bay of Quinte Region. Our homeowners have long known that Duvanco Homes are comfortable and built to last. Now our approach has been validated by Canada’s most-trusted contractor, Mike Holmes,” said Dustin Duvanco, president of Duvanco Homes.
Quinte News had the opportunity to sit down with Holmes after he took a tour of the 2,411 square foot, four bedroom home.
Holmes touted Duvanco’s expertise in insulating not only on the inside but on the outside of the home with rigid foam as it acts as a thermal break blocking moisture.
Belleville Mayor Taso Christopher congratulated the Duvanco family and staff for their continued commitment to the community.
Hastings Prince Edward MPP Todd Smith also praised the expansion within the subdivision that is a highly sought after, family-oriented community.
Settler’s Ridge is located just north of the 401 off Maitland Drive in Belleville. Phase 2 construction is well underway with future phases to be launched in the summer of 2017. More information at duvancohomes.com
