The Wellington Dukes open the new OJHL season tonight when they entertain the Aurora Tigers at the Essroc Arena. Wellington brings back 6 players from last year’s squad. Dukes Coach and General Manager Marty Abrams says their strength is behind the blueline.
The Dukes were dealt a setback this week when Shaw Boomhower, Scoley Dow and Matt Phillip signed OHL contracts. However Abrams says that’s part of game.
The puck drops at 7:30. Once again this year CJBQ will broadcast 20 Wellington games.
