The Lawrence Cuculuzzi Sports Centre, otherwise known as pad 2, at the Dunc McDonald arena, needs a new playing floor and boards.
So says City of Quinte West staff.
They are strongly recommending that council consider installing a new playing floor and boards next year.
Manager of Facilities, Bob Forder, estimates the cost of the project could go as high as one million dollars.
The current floor and boards are 31 years old, and have been repaired several times. Staff say they are at the end of their useful life.
Council has yet to begin 2017 budget discussions.
