A former Belleville Mayor and local Member of Parliament may soon have a new road
named after him.
Developers, Jenland Properties, will ask Belleville’s Planning Advisory Committee to
approve the naming of a road, yet to be built, “Jack Ellis Way”.
The late Jack Ellis was Mayor of Belleville from 1964 to 1967 and was Prince-Edward Hastings
MP from 1972 to 1988.
Jenland Properties will create 8 smaller lots for development running north of Bell Boulevard,
east of Hannafin Road.
“Jack Ellis Way” would serve those lots.
Belleville’s Planning Advisory Committee meets Tues at 5:30 p.m., at city hall.
