Plans for a commercial storage business in Belleville’s Thurlow ward, using railway containers, have been sent back to the drawing board.
When the application for the site at 970 Highway 37 came before the city’s planning committee for the second time Tuesday night, it had skyrocketed in size.
Planning Chair Councillor Jackie Denyes says the applications have been inconsistent.
Denyes says committee members were also concerned about the neighbours in the area.
The new application had also not agreed with putting the units in the northern section away from the road.
The owner has been asked to make a third, more precise application.
