They say numbers don’t lie, and the Quinte Exhibition’s numbers are telling a happy story.
President of the Belleville Agricultural Society, Donnie Jarrell, says revenues across the board
for the Exhibition, better known as the Belleville Fair, were up about 15%.
Gate receipts this year were $75,000, up from last year’s take of $64,000.
Attendance numbers were up too, at between 12,000 and 14,000 people.
Jarrell says having the horse, truck, and tractor pulls on Saturday boosted attendance, and of course,
the weather was ideal for the entire 4 days.
It’s expected the Agricultural Society will see a net profit of around $45,000, up from last year’s $33,000.
Jarrell says the extra profit will be used to make next year’s fair even better.
