A busy, yet promising stretch of pre-season hockey for the Picton Pirates ended in a tough 3-2 overtime loss yesterday afternoon to the North Kawartha Knights.
Picton was coming off back-to-back wins over the Amherstview Jets.
The Central Ontario Junior C unit got two goals from Jackson Whiltshire, including the OT winner, with Russ Fontyn adding a single tally.
Newly signed sniper Devin Morrison and returning forward Trey Maracle had the goals for the Pirates.

Picton will finish off their pre-season next weekend at the Campbellford Rebels Tournament in Trenton at the Duncan McDonald Memorial Gardens.
They will play three games in two days against the Clarington Eagles, Little Britain Merchants and Lakefield Chiefs.
