An early morning rollover on the 401 at the Belleville/Quinte West border has led to drunk driving and possession charges.
Napanee OPP responded to the west bound off ramp of Hwy 401 at Wallbridge-Loyalist Road around 1:15 a.m. where a transport truck carrying a load of paper flipped onto the driver’s side.
The driver, 62-year-old Pierre Gauthier of Quebec was uninjured and charged with impaired operation of a motor vehicle, driving with over 80 mgs of alcohol in 100 ml of blood, and possession of a controlled substance (75 oxycodone pills).
He has a Napanee court date of September 13.
Just before eight, the road was re-opened.
