A local industry is making a big investment and creating a lot of new jobs.
Kruger Products, a maker of brand name paper towel, and facial and bathroom tissue, will be
investing $52 million to build new production lines at its plant on Dufferin Avenue in Trenton.
The project will be completed by the end of 2019, and will create about 120 new jobs.
One-hundred-and-eighty-four people already work for Kruger Products and will be moving to the Trenton location.
As part of the total, MPP Lou Rinaldi announced a $10 million low-interest loan to the company through the Jobs and Prosperity Fund.
Officials with Kruger also say they’re interested in building a warehouse onto the current building, sometime in the future.
