It is all coming up roses in Quinte West.
Thursday was the official sod turning for the brand new Quinte Botanical Gardens.
It is located on Glen Ross Road, north of Frankford and once complete, will showcase six acres of flowers.
Bay of Quinte MP Neil Ellis says it will be a boon for the whole area.
Different themes, statues, a seniors’ gazebo and more will be part of the site and there will be up to 40,000 tulips in a single display.
It is expected to be completed by next spring.
