Belleville Police are investigating a break-in that could be connected to past break and enters in the city.
At approximately 3:10 a.m. last Friday (Aug. 19), officers responded to an alarm at a business on North Front Street.
On arrival, police observed that the window of the front door had been smashed. Police set up containment and later searched the business with negative results. Members of the Forensic Identification Unit were called and attended the scene as well. An investigation revealed that two adult toys had been stolen.
Since May, police have investigated five similar break-and-enters at businesses on Front Street where mannequins were taken.
City police believe this recent break-in could possibly have something to do with those past break-ins.
Anyone with information about these investigations is asked to contact the Belleville Police Service and/or Quinte Crimestoppers.
