The Mayor of Trent Hills is getting some major financial assistance in his battle with pancreatic cancer.
Earlier this week Quinte News told you about Hector Macmillan’s battle with the disease.
Macmillan says a treatment is available in Kentucky, however the province will not cover the cost.
A go fund me account has been set up to help pay for the surgery and it has already raised $23,000.
Macmillan says the support has been incredible, but so is the cost of the surgery.
Macmillan says the Ontario Government has offered palliative chemo treatments, which will only assist in comfort, but cannot remove the cancer.
