Domestic Dispute
Belleville, Ontario – On August 25th, 2016, at 6:13 p.m. police responded to a Dundas Street East address regarding a domestic disturbance. A caller advised that a male was brandishing a machete. A 34-year-old Belleville man was arrested and a machete was seized. He was held for a bail hearing on August 26th on charges of assault and assault with a weapon. The victim was not injured.
Assault
Belleville, Ontario – On August 25th, 2016, at 9:50 p.m. police responded to a Palmer Road location in relation to several people fighting. A 22-year-old Belleville man was arrested at the scene. He was charged with two counts of assault and held for a bail hearing on August 26th. Both victims, adult males, suffered minor injuries but did not require medical attention.
Impaired Driver
Belleville, Ontario – On August 26th, 2016, at 1:05 a.m. police were called to Station Street at Brown Street as several witnesses had detained an impaired driver. The car had sustained damage from an accident at an unknown location. The 20-year old driver was arrested for impaired driving. Kaylar Brindle, of Belleville, was charged with impaired driving and over 80 mgs and will appear in court on September 8th, 2016. In addition, he was charged with a number of traffic offences including improper plates, no insurance, and novice driver with a blood alcohol above zero.
