Hastings County Council has heard a detailed report on just what Eastern Ontario wants in Ontario’s Long-Term Energy Plan.
Intern Maddison Ellis addressed Hastings County council on the report of the Eastern Ontario Warden’s Caucus regarding the province’s energy plan.
It emphasizes the “urgent need for expansion of natural gas to rural parts of Eastern Ontario” and indicates that “low cost will lead to growth and development.”
Ellis pointed to rising electrical energy costs “propelling rural residents into energy poverty.”
