A Belleville bio-pharmaceutical site is changing hands in a large corporate deal.
Quinte News has learned that ProMetic Life Sciences out of Quebec, has purchased the Bioniche parent company Telesta Therapeutics of Montreal.
In the deal, the 150,000 square foot site on Dundas Street in Belleville will become Prometic property.
Prometic’s COO Bruce Pritchard says the acquisition of the Belleville location will allow the company to gain a stronger foothold in the Canadian market.
Pritchard says they will need to do minor changes to the facility before they are ready.
The deal is an all stock transaction.
