Smoke filled the air in west end Belleville early this morning.
There was a junk fire in a storage area in a huge derelict block building at 40 Wilson
Avenue that was reported shortly before 2 o’clock this morning.
The building was declared unsafe and off limits by the City of Belleville in December of 2015.
It used to be the home of Stanley Structures where big concrete beams were made.
It is now owned by a numbered company out of Oshawa.
The small, smoky fire was under control quickly. The cause remains under investigation.
No one was injured.
