A company from Mississauga has been chosen to undertake the design for a major bridge replacement project near Brighton.
MMM Group Limited has been tapped to design a replacement swing bridge on County Road 64, crossing the Murray Canal.
Early plans for the new bridge include two lanes of traffic and a sidewalk on one side.
The initial price tag for the entire project is around $8 million, with design costs coming in just over $2 million.
Construction is slated to start in spring 2018, once designs and other prep work are complete.
