It looks like this past weekend’s rainfal has improved conditions enough, that local fire departments are loosening burn ban restrictions.
In Prince Edward County you can burn in barrels or camp fires, but not brush burning is allowed, while in Marmora and Lake, fires are being permitted, but only for heating or cooking and no burn permits will be issued by the municipality.
Tudor and Cashel Township has lifted the ban in its southern portion.
Meanwhile, in Madoc Township and Stirling-Rawdon, recreational campfires are being allowed again, but only overnight between 7:00 p.m. and 7:00 a.m.
