There’s been a change in the open air burning ban in Belleville.
The fire department has issued a notice that it will now permit some open air burning but in containers or barrels and camp fires only.
All open air burning must have an attendant at the scene to control the fire, and the fire must be completely extinguished before the attendant leaves the area.
Belleville Fire Department will continue to monitor conditions in the area and will provide open air burning updates as conditions change.
