It’s bad news for users of three area beaches, which have been posted as unsafe for swimming, by Hastings Prince Edward Public Health.
Health officials say Centennial Park Beach on the Bay of Quinte in Deseronto, Frankford Park Beach on the Trent River, and Kingsford Conservation Area Beach on the Salmon River, all have high levels of bacteria.
That means swimming at any of those beaches could result in health complications, ranging from minor irritations, to nausea and vomiting.
All other area beaches are safe this week and HPE Public Health will update the postings next Friday.
