Volunteer researchers have begun a wildlife inventory at the newly-formed “nature reserve” on the south shore of Prince Edward County.
The work has begun on the 490 acres which the Hastings-Prince Edward Land Trust bought as a wildlife habitat with controlled public access. President Stewart Murray says a management plan is in place.
Land Trust now has three nature reserves in Hastings County and is working on another 1400-acre site.
Murray says some are excellent wildlife habitat.
