The Campbellford OPG Cougars won 2 out of 3 yesterday and sit tied for second place at the Canadian Midget Fastball championships in Saskatoon with a 5-1 record.
The Cougars walloped Newfoundland 14-5. Austin Fry and Nathan Robitaille hit grand slams and Carter Dolbreak homered twice. That was followed with a 12-11 win over Chepstow. That led to a meeting of the two undefeated teams with host Saskatoon topping Campbellford 3-1.
The playoff round begins today.
