Quinte News has received word from a Belleville man who just hit the summit of Mount Kilimanjaro.
John Cairns reached the top of the mountain this week, raising money for his non-profit organization, Wheelchair of Hope Foundation.
Cairns, who lost his right arm and right leg in a workplace accident in 1992, completed his first “Climb for Mobility”.
He will return to Quinte next week.
