A man and woman in their 30s have been charged with animal cruelty, after police found a dog suffering from lack of care and injuries.
Northumberland OPP responded to a home in Colborne back on July 24th, after reports of a man beating and kicking a dog.
Investigators found the dog, in a small enclosure, with no food or water and suffering from obvious injuries.
The animal was taken to a local shelter to be cared for, while the two people in the home were arrested.
34 year-old Mike Miller and 30 year-old Amy Gibson both face charges of causing unnecessary pain, suffering, or injury to an animal.
They’ll be in Cobourg court on October 5, 2016.
