A spokesperson for the Sagonaska Parent Advisory Council says the government’s announcement to keep demonstration schools open is a win.
Kim Curran says the group had a chance to talk with the Ministry of Education Monday and says the province has no intention of closing schools, like the one in Belleville.
Curran says that initially was not clear in Monday’s announcement.
They also discussed the application process for demonstration schools, supporting awareness and a pilot program which could reintegrate students with severe disabilities into regular schools.
