Firefighters put in another hard, hot day yesterday as they worked to extinguish a brush fire near Marmora that human activity started late last Friday afternoon.
Marmora and Lake and other area firefighters worked on the ground until 5 yesterday afternoon.
A Ministry of Natural Resources water bomber has been dropping water from the air.
The fire is described as “being held”, meaning it isn’t likely to spread beyond its current size, which is around one hectare.
Firefighters will be back at it this morning. The fire is in the area of Deloro and Malone Roads.
