Belleville city council will consider giving the green light to upgrades to one of its premier soccer pitches, at its meeting Monday.
City staff is recommending awarding the contract to Van Soelen Landscaping to expand the size of field number two at Zwicks Park to allow for sports other than soccer, improve drainage, and level the pitch.
Van Soelen’s bid was the lowest of five at a total of $372,000.
Council had set aside $400,000 for the project.
Belleville council meets at 4 p.m. Monday.
