Prince Edward County OPP laid charges on a 47-year-old Hillier Ward man this afternoon.
Around 1:30, officers were called to an unwanted person on Gilead Road in Hallowell Ward. After arriving, they observed the male driving his motor vehicle, and conducted a traffic stop.
An investigation concluded that the driver of the vehicle had been consuming alcohol prior to driving.
As a result, 47 year old Richard Caird was charged with Operating a Motor Vehicle with Over 80 Milligrams of Alcohol.
His vehicle was impounded, and his Driver’s license was suspended for 90 Days.
Caird is due to appear in Picton court on September 7.
