A local MPP has sparked an investigation into the practices of a government agency with regards to serving the senior population.
The office of Lanark-Frontenac-Lennox and Addington MPP Randy Hillier had recently been hearing from many seniors about hours long waits on phone calls to book appointments for drivers license examinations.
Further, if the people managed to get through to book an appointment, the appointments were being booked months into the future.
MPP Hillier contacted the Ontario Ombudsman Paul Dubé who said the problems with Service Ontario appeared real and agreed to launch an investigation into the agency’s operation.
