Visitors to a very popular beach in Prince Edward County will notice some changes heading into the civic long weekend.
The County is conducting a pilot project with Sandbanks Provincial Park and installing two electronic message boards to let the public know when the park has reached capacity.
The signs will be in place during the whole month of August on County Road 12 near the intersection with County Road 32 and on County Road 10, south of Picton.
Last weekend the park was packed, which is not out of the ordinary so this will let visitors know that they may want to explore other tourism options and avoid some of the road congestion at the park’s entrance.
