A Belleville man has been arrested following reports of fraud dating back to 2009.
Tuesday morning, city police were called to a Herman Street home, near Cannifton and College Streets, regarding a neighbour dispute.
The argument was over a possible theft.
The Criminal Investigations Division obtained a search warrant related to a lengthy fraud investigation.
31 year old Martin More has been charged with fraud over $5,000, theft of a credit card, false pretenses over $5,000, and possession of a group 1 controlled substance.
An elderly man, who has since passed away, was defrauded of around $250,000
Police are continuing their investigation.
More was convicted earlier this year of four counts of fraud, after more than $7,000 in fraudulent cheques were cashed, from a Belleville Junior Bulls hockey team account.
That sentencing takes place in September.
