Coe Hill family physician Dr. Rob Joseph Kamermans has lost his license to practice medicine.
Quinte News has earned the College of Physicians and Surgeons of Ontario’s Discipline Committee made that decision Tuesday (July 26).
In its ruling, the Committee writes its belief that it has proved Kamermans failed to maintain the
standard of practice of the profession and had demonstrated incompetence in treatment and/or documentation involving several patients in an unnamed Emergency Department in 2011.
Kamermans had previously been disciplined by the College and had been practicing family medicine under strict guidelines and supervision since 2013.
The College maintains incompetence and sloppy documentation continued even under supervision.
Along with losing his license to practice, Kamermans was also ordered to pay costs to the College of $28,098.00.
