There’s a new man in charge of 437 Transport Squadron, at CFB Trenton.
Lieutenant Colonel Leif Dahl has taken over command of the “Huskies”, picking up from outgoing Lt.-Col. Kevin Tromp, who had been in charge for the past two years.
Lt.-Col. Dahl is a former CC-130 Hercules pilot with 8 Wing’s 424 Squadron, where he started his career, but has held various other roles and positions at 8 Wing, over a nine year period.
He’s also completed postings at the NATO Headquarters in Belgium and at National Defence Headquarters in Ottawa.
437 Transport Squadron is equipped with five CC-150 Polaris aircraft, with the primary role of providing long-range transport of personnel, equipment and VIPs.
