The MPP for Northumberland Quinte West says there’s nothing new to report when it comes to the potential move of thousands of surgical procedures from Trenton to Belleville.
Lou Rinaldi tells Quinte News Minister of Health Dr. Eric Hoskins and his staff are still going over all of the information they have and there’s still no timeline on when a decision might be made.
Rinaldi says until a decision is made, a pause on the move, put in place by the ministry, will remain in effect.
There’s been lots of public pressure to keep the procedures at Trenton Memorial Hospital, despite support from the Local Health Integration Network and Quinte Health Care boards, to move them to BGH.
