A man accused of first degree and attempted murder of relatives near Grafton will face another
trial in a separate and earlier assault case.
61 year old Daniel Grant of Grafton was found not guilty of assault with a weapon against his stepdad last year, but the Crown appealed the not guilty verdict, and according to Northumberland News, a judge has ordered a new trial in the case.
Meanwhile, Grant appears back in court August 3rd on charges of attempt murder of his stepfather and the murder of his mother.
The incidents happened on New Year’s Eve of 2015 at the mother’s home west of Grafton.
