Blue skies and rainbow colors provided the backdrop for the biggest Belleville Pride parade ever today (Saturday).
Close to 200 people participated in the Pride Parade and several hundred attended the Pride in the Park events at West Zwicks following it.
The Chair of Belleville Pride, Gilles Charette, says Pride locally has been growing steadily.
Meanwhile, Charette says the murders at an Orlando, Florida gay nightspot reminded everyone that safety for members of the LGBTQ community can’t be taken for granted.
